Gwenneth "Gwen" Gloria Ferree

Gwenneth “Gwen” Gloria Ferree, 84, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024.  She had lived in Jonesboro since 2016, moving here from Grand Junction, Colorado.  She was born in Joplin, Missouri, on March 4, 1940, to Kenneth and Pauline Cole.  Gwen was a member of the Higher Trails Cowboy Church. She was previously owner/operator of The Old Oak Tree Furniture Store.  Horses were her hobby.  She was a barrel racer and also enjoyed roping and training horses.  While she lived in Colorado, she loved to ride snowmobiles.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother and one great grandson.

Survivors include her daughters, Valerie Carr and husband Bruce of Paragould; Cindy Sisac and husband Alan of Grand Junction, Colorado; sister, Sandy Higgins of Romance, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren, Devin, Josh and Cooper; and 4 great grandchildren.
