Gwendolyn Harrison

Gwendolyn Harrison, 87, of Jonesboro passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Born at 40 & 8, Arkansas, she was a retired Registered Nurse, and had worked in various areas of Nursing during her career. She was a graduate of Arkansas State University College of Nursing, Jonesboro, Arkansas, was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Gosnell, Arkansas, and attended Nettleton Baptist Church, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by both parents, one sister, two brothers, a niece and a nephew.

Survivors include a sister and dear best friend, Joann Jarrett of Jonesboro, Arkansas, nephews, Ronald Watson of Lincolnwood, Ill., Herman Harrison (Shirley) of Columbia, Missouri, Dylan Beale, and Nathan Taylor (Tellisa) of Blytheville, AR, and Greg Beale (Beverly). Nieces, Melanie Powell (Mark) of Jonesboro, AR, Debbie Holland (Ronnie) of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Morgan McVay (David) of Springdale, Arkansas, Leigh Kemp of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Whitney Watson (Ryan) of Chicago, Il., Kristy Gann (Kevin), and Angela King (Ray) of Atkins, Arkansas. And Nana to Caitlyn, Gavin, and Lila McVay of Springdale, AR.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home with George Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville.
