Guy Ransom Jr.

Guy Ransom Jr, 89, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born February 1, 1933 in Morrilton to the late Lora McGlothan Ransom and Guy Ransom Sr.

Guy was a graduate of Conway High School, Class of 1950 and also attended the Arkansas State Teacher's College in Conway. After college, Guy served our great country in the United States Air Force Signal Core. He was an avid reader, loved watching westerns, a huge Arkansas Razorbacks fan and enjoyed golfing. He was also a member of the Living Church of God.

In addition to his parents, Guy is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Ransom.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen (Kevin) Duclos of Trinity, AL; sons, Chris (Gina) Ransom of Collierville, TN and Larry Ransom; grandchildren, Evan (Anna) Ransom of Smyrna, TN, Cayson Ransom of Coppell, TX as well as Taylor Duclos-McCullough, Nicholas Duclos and Zachary Duclos all of Trinity, AL; great-grandchildren, Harper McCullough, Keegan McCullough and Charlee Ann McCullough.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 5-7 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway.
