Guy Wood Mccoy

Guy Wood McCoy, 77, of Paragould passed from this life Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1938 in Minford, Ohio to the late Dennis and Beulah McCoy.

Guy lived in the northeast Arkansas area since 1968 after coming from Minford. He was of the Christian belief. Guy enjoyed spending time watching stock car racing and at the Crowley’s Ridge Raceway. He was also an avid fisherman and loved his dogs.

In addition to his parents, Guy is preceded by his sister: Jeanne Suman; and three brothers: Jim McCoy, John McCoy, and Leonard McCoy.
Guy is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nellie McCoy of the home; five daughters: Melanie (Frank) McCoy-Chaffin of Wyoming, Melodie (David) Flowers of Tennessee, Becky Reed of Ohio, Rita Author of Ohio, and Penny McCoy; two sons: Guy Wood (Kim) McCoy Jr. of Oklahoma, and Patrick McCoy; one sister: Betty Bowers of Ohio; Step son: Anthony Oden; fifteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday April 3, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday April 4, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with David Stallings Officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
