Guy Collier, 76, of Lake City, died Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at St. Bernards Medical Center. He had lived in Lake City since 1989, moving there from Blytheville. He was born in Blytheville on July 16, 1947, to Guy and Christine Collier. He was of the Baptist belief. He retired from Entergy after many years, serving as a journey lineman. Guy, also know as Guy-bird, also worked at Emerson Ambulance as a member of the “Fab-Four”. He served his Country honorably in the US Army, during the Vietnam War. He served his community as a Deputy Coroner for Craighead County. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Tammy Collier, of the home; and daughter, Katie Collier of Jonesboro.
A memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 5, 2024, at Emerson Funeral Home with Milton Wayne Harbison and Rick Carter officiating. All other services will be private. Honorary pallbearers are Milton Wayne Harbison, Toby Emerson, Ronnie Brengard, Rick Carter, Todd Carr, Steve Metcalf, Bill Brown, KC Jones, JT Thrasher, Daniel McCormick, Mike Craig, Kurt Beeson, Garrett Qualls and past and present employees of Emerson Ambulance Service.
