Gretta D. Dehm, 79, of Jonesboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was born in Beach Grove, Arkansas, on December 9, 1944 to Noah and Pearl Garner. She lived most of her life here in the Jonesboro area. She was a member of Greensboro Church of Christ. She was one of the last telephone switchboard operators at Southwestern Bell on Union Street. She was also a member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. She loved spending time with her family, but her grandchildren were her pride and joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Dehm, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her son, Allen Dehm and wife, Polly, of Jonesboro; two brothers, Rudy Garner of Oak Grove, Arkansas; Stan Garner of Danville, Arkansas; two sisters, Connie Risinger and Linda Morrow, both of Paragould; two granddaughters, Lura Beth Dehm and Amie Jonette Dehm.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday morning, May 15, 2024, at Nettleton Cemetery with Terry Jo Kee, officiating and Emerson Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Handwork, Lee Aspinwall, Scott Harris, Jeff Fielder, Chris Buxton and Jarod Jordan. Visitation will be Tuesday night, May 14, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00.
