Gregory J. Adamski, 71, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Saturday September 22, 2018 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 9, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan and had lived in Jonesboro from 2008 to 2010 and then again since 2013. He served in the Navy during Vietnam from 1967 to 1972. He received his Associates degree from Macomb Community College in 1977. He then began his career in Engineering.
He was a Design Engineer in the Trucking and Trailer Industry for over 40 years. He worked for multiple companies in multiple states throughout his career. He establish the successful Plew Company in Columbus, OH. He held several patents during his career. He helped engineer and design the Advanced Vehicle Experience prototype tractor-trailer for Walmart. He worked for Great Dane in Jonesboro and in Brazil, Indiana for over 15 years.
Survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kristine Adamski of the home. Two sons, Austin Adamski of Jonesboro and Shawn Kalinski of Detroit, Michigan. One sister Cookie Garber of Roseville, Michigan. One brother George Adamski of Macomb Township. One grandson Bradley Kopcheia and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30pm to 2pm at Emerson Funeral Home. With memorial services to follow the visitation. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
