Charles Gregory Adams, 46, of Marmaduke, Arkansas, passed from this life on November 12th, 2023. He was born in Jonesboro July 21, 1977 to Shirley Shirley (Webb) and Mike Adams. Greg called the fields and turnrows of Caraway, Arkansas home most of his life, growing up with a foundation of row crop farming, livestock, and equipment that would carry him through out adulthood. After graduating Riverside high school in 1995, he went onto to graduate Arkansas State University with a BSE in Animal Science, pledging Alpha Gamma Rho and thoroughly enjoying his time there with his brothers, rodeo buddies, and classmates. Choosing to stay close to home Greg started a 25 plus year career in ag-business in sales and retail location management, earning several accolades for his outstanding business achievements. Greg most recently was employed by Greenway Equipment in outside sales. Greg’s business relationships and easy-to-talk to personality created many long-lasting friendships throughout the years he greatly cherished.
Greg was not a sit-still kind of man. He took on several side businesses including cattle, hay, and dirt work. Greg found joy and satisfaction in hard work, finding time to fit in hunting, fishing, and working on whatever needed fixing. He always enjoyed spending time with his father and his son, Luke, baling hay, or calling ducks at the Curve, though it may not always have sounded like in heated moments. Their family and friends would always enjoy a good laugh at how alike they all grew to be.
Greg is survived by the love of his life, business partner, and best friend, Sunni Comstock Adams, of the home. While they found each other later in life, it was evident they lived a lifetime of love in a few short years. They created their dream life on their farm in Marmaduke, started LC Cattle Company beef business, and operated as GS Farms. They shared a mutual love of livestock and critters, although Greg patiently entertained some of her wilder additions. When they weren’t chasing kids, they enjoyed their sale barn dates, working cattle, hunting, fishing, and making the most of their busy everyday life.
Family was Greg’s most important priority. He was known for being everyone’s “go to guy.” He was most proud of his children, Sydney, Luke, & Layla Adams. Each special in their own way to him. He was a protective dad and fierce provider. Greg made sure his children knew the value of discipline, hard work, and taking care of each other. He was always there with advice, support, and most of all, unfailing love.
Later on, he became a stepdad to Emery & Grady Booker through his marriage to Sunni. He quickly became a familiar face at volleyball, softball, and football games. He rarely missed and enjoyed cheering them on. They all enjoyed many adventures together in their camper, visiting the peaks of the Colorado mountains to finding hidden gems in rural Mississippi towns.
Greg was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Paragould, Arkansas and knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He lived a life that bore witness to the mercy, love, and forgiveness of his Savior.
Greg is survived by his wife, Sunni Adams; daughters Layla Adams of Caraway and Sydney Adams of Conway; stepdaughter and stepson Emery & Grady Booker of Marmaduke; parents Mike & Becky Adams and Shirley Shirley of Caraway; inlaws Harold & Betty Comstock of Jonesboro; grandmother Avo Webb of Jonesboro; and sister Sheryl (Allen) Puckett of Caraway.
Greg was preceded in death by his son, Luke Adams; grandfather L.J. Webb; grandparents Charles and Gloria Adams; and stepfather Howard Shirley.
