Grant Chandler Shelton, age 26, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, August 8, 2022. Grant is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Adrianna Shelton; parents, James and Monica Shelton; sister, Lauren Shelton; maternal grandmother, Carletta Bowers; paternal grandfather, Leon Shelton; his nana, Helen Brewington; aunt and uncle, Erica and Todd McClung; cousins, Madison and Carleigh McClung; aunt and uncle, Lisa and Gary Weaver, cousins, Garrett Weaver (Katelyn) Lauren Smith (Dylan); uncle, Tim Shelton (Angela); grandparents-in-law, Ken and Marlene Jones; mother-in-law, Lori Palm (Lee); sister-in-law, Laci Solis (Rene), and brothers-in-law, Landon Roades and Carrington Morehouse; and a host of extended family members whom Grant loved dearly.
Grant is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gary Bowers, paternal grandmother, Joyce Shelton, and an uncle, Jared Bowers.
Grant was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on February 14, 1996, to James and Monica Shelton. He graduated from Valley View High School in 2014. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in political science, while he also obtained his real-estate license. Upon graduating, he returned to Jonesboro and joined the Coldwell Banker Village Communities and his father in the residential construction business.
He met his sweetheart, Adrianna, in high school and they married on September 25th, 2021. He loved the Lord, his wife, family, and dogs, Bella and Gigi, more than anything.
Grant was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He was an avid golfer where he was a member of the Jonesboro Country Club and the Ridgepointe Country Club. He had a true passion for the games of basketball and football and attended as many Memphis Grizzlies and Pittsburg Steelers games as possible. He was happiest when he was at the golf course with his buddies. He also enjoyed weekends spent at the lake with friends and family.
Grant had the biggest smile, the kindest heart, and the most contagious laugh. He was known for his larger-than-life personality and cheerful mood that brightened any room that he walked into. He had a way of making everyone feel important and loved. There are not enough words to describe the impact that he will continue to have on those that knew him. He was a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend that will be missed by many.
A visitation will be 5-7 pm Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Central Baptist Church
A funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday, August 15, 2022 at Central Baptist Church with Reverend Murry Ray and Reverend Marty Spurlock officiating.
Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being Prateek Gera, Win Johnson, Jack Merten, Spence Walker, Sam Mullen, Trent Jones, Landon Roades, and Carrington Morehouse.
Honorary Pallbearers: Aleks Jaksic, Matt Millerd, Kevin Kercheval J.D. Rainwater, Brayden Prestidge, Colby Hill, Caleb King, Corban Richardson Colton Lynch, Julian Jackson, Gunter Stevenson, Jeremy Poe, Sigma Chi Fraternity Brothers, and the Valley View Class of 2014.
