Gordon Stinnett, 82, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Woodbriar Nursing Center where he resided.
Born in Jonesboro, Gordon lived much of his life here before moving to Harrisburg five years ago. He was a retired building contractor and a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II. Gordon was a Baptist and enjoyed woodworking.
Gordon was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois, by his second wife, Elizabeth, by a daughter, Judy West, by a brother, Bill, and by a sister, Mary Ulmer.
Survivors include one brother and his wife, John and Faye Stinnett of Jackson, Missouri;
1 granddaughter and her husband, Makala and Josh Roberson of Jonesboro;
2 grandchildren: McKenzie and Lillian Roberson; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in Jonesboro Memorial Park with Wayne Wheeler officiating.
Pallbearers will be the Craighead County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00-2:00 at Emerson Funeral Home.
