Goldie Sue Brown

September 2, 1922 — November 14, 2012

Goldie Brown, of Jonesboro, died November 14, 2012 at her home. Goldie was a member of First Baptist Church and was a part of the Phebean Sunday School Class. She earned a BSE degree from Arkansas State University and a Masters degree from the University of Mississippi. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and was an educator for 32 years.

She is preceded in death, by her husband Clyde L. Brown, and her parents, Darrell and Mary Diggs Wilcox.

Goldie is survived by her daughter, Betty (Tom) Story of Northern Virginia;

Brother, James Wilcox of Conway; Sister, Betty Jumper of Jonesboro;

Grandchildren, Tom Story of Washington D.C., Betsy (Mark) Churchill of Arlington, Virginia;

Great grandchildren, Grant Thomas Churchill, Neil Hunter Churchill, and Lawson Brown Churchill;

And lots of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday evening 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
