Gloria Jean Sharp

Gloria Jean Sharp, 61, of Bay, died Monday at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Joliet, Illinois but had spent most of her life in northeast Arkansas. She was a person that people enjoyed being around. She took care of children in her home and loved to spend time with her family and friends. Gloria loved animals, especially her dog, Gizmo. She had a strong faith in the Lord and she and her husband were recently saved and baptized.

Gloria is survived by her husband, William Wade Sharp, Bay; son, William Joshua “B.J.” Drown, Germany; step-son and daughter-in-law Jason & Amy Sharp; step-daughter, Tracy Sharp, all of Jonesboro; brothers and sister-in-law, William Drown, Bay, Robert Drown, West Plains, Missouri, Michael & Arlene Drown, Wilmington, Illinois; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie & Richard Barbour, West Plains, Missouri, Debra & Bob Eatman, Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Theodore & Edna Hazel Stainbrook Drown and a son, Johnnie Dean Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tommy Jordan, Jr. officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
