At 7:20 pm on June 4, 2017, Glida Jean Heath of West Memphis passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Medical Center in Memphis after a long, heroic battle with Leukemia. The youngest daughter of seven children born to Guy and Dalsie Parson of Jonesboro, Glida was preceded in death by her four brothers, two sisters, and her husband of 62 years, Jack Heath. She is survived by their four children: Kay Heath of West Memphis, Garry Heath (Mary) of Beacon, NY, Debbie Heath of Memphis and Dawn Heath Thomas (Jet) of Longview, TX—and by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends far too numerous mention.
All arrangements are being handled by Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR. No formal viewing/visitation is planned. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 7 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Walcott, AR. with Rev. Mike Blackwood officiating.
