Glenn Qualls, 80, of Lake City passed from this life Monday, November 9, 2015 of injuries from a car accident that happened September 10, 2015. He was born May 24, 1935 at Lake City to the late Austin and Effie Qualls. Glenn spent his entire life living there in Lake City where he also graduated from Lake City High School in 1953. Glenn was a Southern Baptist and was also a member of Bowman Church. He was a retired farmer who enjoyed antique vehicles.
He is preceded in death by parents: Austin and Effie Qualls; two brothers: Bill Qualls and W.O. Qualls; and sister in law: Edna Qualls.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Helen Qualls; three sons: Mitchell Qualls, Vick (Tosha) Qualls, and Chris (Sarah) Qualls; three grandchildren: Caden Qualls, Cailey Qualls, Madison Qualls; and Madison’s mother: Judy Smith; one sister: Barbara (Aubrey) Sutterfield, two brothers: Jim (Henrietta) Qualls and Fred (Pat) Qualls; and sister-in-law: Pat Qualls Taylor; mother-in-law: Helen Phillips; brother-in-law: Shelby (DeAnna) Phillips; and a numerous amount of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Winfred Bridges officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
