Glenn Wade Malone of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. Wade, as he was known to his family and friends, was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, October 20, 1957. Wade was graduated from Caruthersville High School and attended Memphis State University.
Wade worked for a number of years for Arkansas Power and Light. He later joined Southwest Power Administration, a division of the United States Department of Energy, where he worked in several capacities in Missouri, Colorado and Arkansas until making Jonesboro his permanent home. He retired in 2016. Wade enjoyed playing with his dog, Levon, writing, listening to music, birdwatching, and spending time with his family.
Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Charlene and Charles Malone, and two brothers, Keith and Stanley Malone.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Malone; two daughters, Claire (Timothy) Edwards, Brooke (Joe) Sarrio; a son, Austin (Brittney) Malone; and four grandchildren, Mattie Malone, Lucy, Charlie, and Grace Sarrio.
A memorial service for Wade will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church with The Reverend Rondal Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Heifer International, www.heifer.org
