Glenn L. Heern

February 19, 1925 — February 20, 2012

Glenn L. Heern, 87, of Jonesboro, died Monday, February 20, 2012 in St. Louis, Missouri. He had lived his life in Jonesboro and was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Glenn was a WWII US Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a volunteer at the Jonesboro Food Bank and a Past Master for the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #129 and a York Rite Mason. He attended the Covenant Sunday School Class. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Heern; son, Terry Heern; parents, John and Teresa Heern; four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Kay (Mrs. Stephen) Powell of St. Louis, Missouri; Glenda (Mrs. Larry Noell) of Leavenworth, Kansas; grandchildren, Kendall Olsen of St. Louis; Lori (Mrs. Doug) McElvain of St. Louis; Amy (Mrs. Jason) Wagner of St. Louis; Rebecca (Mrs. Mike) Peterson: Cheryl Pec, both of Princeton, Minnesota; Casey Noell serving aboard the USS Carl Vinson; Jesse Noell of San Antonio, Texas; Eric Noell of Kansas City, Kansas and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Patty Soward officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow at Strawfloor Cemetery with Jesse Noell, Eric Noell, Bobby Phillips, Dale Allen Phillips and David Phillips serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the Covenant Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time on Thursday.
