Glenda Eshenroder, 67, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Thayer, Missouri, Glenda grew up in Alton, Missouri, and graduated from Alton High School. She earned bachelor and master degrees from Arkansas State University and had a career in museum administration. Glenda worked 20 years in the ASU Museum, several years for the Children's Museum in Little Rock, and was the Director of the Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs when she retired in 2008 and moved to Jonesboro.
Glenda was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Fonda Strain Forester; first husband, Edward Gann, Jr., and second husband, Donald Eshenroder, Jr.
Survivors include 1 son, Edward Gann, III, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida;
1 daughter, Sonya McClure of Jonesboro;
1 brother, Charlie Forester of Alton, Missouri;
1 sister, Patricia Pointer of Alton, Missouri;
7 grandchildren: Ashley Gann, Courtney Jones, Nicholas Gann, Emily Gann, Lauren Mavros, Maria Perez, and Ella McClure; and
1 great grandchild, Ember Gann.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Emerson Funeral Home chapel. A rosary service will be at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.
A funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Church with Rev. Father Alphonse Gollapalli officiating. A committal service and burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday afternoon in Bailey's Chapel Cemetery near Alton, Missouri, under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home.
