Gladys L. Sprinkle, 84, of Jonesboro, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, November 21, 2022. She was born in Jonesboro, on March 30, 1938 to Loy and Clevie Taylor. She lived her entire life in the Jonesboro area. As a member of the North Main Baptist Church, she was always faithful in her attendance. Gladys started to work for General Electric in 1967 and retired from there in 1990. Her pastimes were enjoying hunting, fishing and cooking. She made an incredible pecan pie, but everybody always bragged on her chicken and dressing. In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R David Sprinkle; daughter, Phyllis Williams; grandson, Shawn Mahan and a brother, Jack Taylor.
Survivors include her son, Jack Dillinger and his wife Donna; David Sprinkle; brothers, Bob Taylor and Leonard Taylor; sisters, Ann Mullin and Virginia Scott, all of Jonesboro; sister, Janice Goans of Pocahontas; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 13 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M, Monday, November 28, 2022 at North Main Baptist Church with Gary Brown officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Bishop Cemetery with Daniel Dillinger, David Dillinger, Travis Williams, Pat Williams, Blake Mahan, and Zander Williams serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Wendell Taylor, Carson Taylor, Chris Taylor, John Taylor, Randy Taylor and Thurstle Mullins. Visitation will be from 1:00 on Monday until service time.
