Gladys Hufstedler, 96, of Jonesboro went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Jonesboro Health Care. She was born July 21, 1919 in Lorine, Arkansas to the late Marlin and Matilda Segraves Stanfill. Gladys lived in Pocahontas most of her life, before moving to Jonesboro. She was a homemaker and loved to work in her garden and fishing. Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Pocahontas.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil M. Hufstedler and granddaughter, Traci Miller.
Survivors include her sons, Donald C. Hufstedler of Arlington, Texas and Farris E. Hufstedler and wife Sherry of Jonesboro.
Daughters, Deledia King and husband Kelly of Hurst, Texas and Brooksie Reynolds and husband James of Arlington, Texas.
Brothers, Ira Stanfill of Germantown, Tennessee and Jimmy Stanfill of Maynard, Arkansas.
Grandchildren, Brent Hufstedler, Ashley Clements, Heather Hufstedler, Lanna Belcher, Brandon Hufstedler, Jessica Henninger and Samantha Swindle and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at First Free Will Baptist Church in Pocahontas with Brother Nelson Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
