Gladys Barnes

Gladys Barnes, 79 of Lake City died Sunday, November 20, 2005, at the Manila Nursing Center. She was born in Cherry Valley and had lived most of her life in the Lake City, Dixie and Shugtown area.

She was of the Pentecostal belief and was preceded in death by her parents, Boone & Sennie Sumpter, her husband, Elza Barnes, two sons, Terry and Teddy Barnes and one daughter, Sennie Gauthier.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Emerson Chapel, Lake City with Bro. Larry Ward officiating and burial to follow in Tryee Cemetery near Cherry Valley, Arkansas with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Sam Faircloth, Curtis Manis, Justin Manis, T. J. Barnes, Scotty Baker, Anthony Faircloth, and Jordon Faircloth.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Tuesday night at Emerson Chapel in Lake City.
