Gisele M. Sharp

Gisele M. Sharp, 76, of Jonesboro died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Born in the French city of Troyes, she moved to the United States in 1957 after marrying Dale Sharp during his service in the US Air Force. Gisele frequently worked as a volunteer, and spent many years as a Pink Lady at Methodist Hospital. A member of Cathedral Baptist Church, she loved attending services and creating the church's floral arrangements. She had a passion for gardening, and could often be found tending to her plants. Gisele was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Dale Sharp, of the home; daughter, Evelyn Gisele Weatherford; sons, Alan Sharp; Joel Sharp and wife Kris; one grandchild, Elliot Sharp, all of Jonesboro.

A memorial service will be 2:00 Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Tuesday. Burial will be private.
