Virginia “Ginny” Jayroe Tubbs, 65, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center. She was born to Jack Jayroe II and Rhoda White Smith on May 20, 1957 in Jonesboro. Virginia loved to have a good time and had trouble staying in one place. She enjoyed slot machines, Bingo, and going to eat with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rhoda Smith (Charles); Husband, Rick Tubbs; and sister, Margie Kemper.

Virginia is survived by her son, Brandon Tubbs of Jonesboro; daughter, Lindsey Wilcox (Todd) of Jonesboro; father, Jack Jayroe II; brother, Jack Jayroe III; grandchildren, Heath Wilcox (Karin) and Seth Wilcox; and special friends and caretakers, Paula Panneck, Janet Hardin, Kim Bass, Fay Smart, and Lori Loggins.

The visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday morning from 9:30-11:00.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home with Casey Turner officiating. Burial will be private. The pallbearers will be Jordon Kennedy, Seth Wilcox, Heath Wilcox, Dr. Logan Lynch, Judd Findley, Tony McDonald, and Derek Oberle. The honorary pallbearers will be Phil Panneck, Kenny Findley, Ted Hardin, Ryan Sheets, Brandon Murphy, Jay DeFord, Bill Petrey, Malcolm Culpepper, and the employees of J.T. White.
