Geta Virginia Davis

Geta Virginia Davis, 80, of Jonesboro passed from this life on June 25, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born June 28, 1938 in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to the late Earl and Tiny Runsick Asberry. Geta spent the majority of her life in the Batesville area and retired from NADC Head Start in 2012 after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed spending time gardening, reading the newspaper, crossword puzzles, drawing, and being outside. Geta’s grandchildren were a special light in her life and she enjoyed spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Billy and Sammy Asberry; and sisters, Jasmine Musick, Georgie Arnn, Jo Hughes, Jettie Reese, and Jayetta Clem.

Geta is survived by her sons, Mike Davis (Laura) of Jonesboro and Chris Davis (Cyndi) of Montgomery, Texas; sister, Joy Hutson of Batesville; grandchildren, Sean Davis (Tori), Lance Davis, Molly Davis; great granddaughter, Penny Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
