Nicknamed “Scrap” at an early age due to her fiery nature, she was a force of nature growing up in the depression era with her twin brother Gerald, her sister Meryl (Hayes) and brother, Junior (John). After losing Don to cancer in 1984, she was fortunate enough to find love a second time with Dale Wright, and they were married in 1985. In her life she had many talents and interests. She was an impressive seamstress, decorator, gardner and an accomplished cook, and an active member and volunteer of Nettleton Baptist Church. She was known by all for her beauty, compassion and the love of her family.

Scrap was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters, and her son Michael, in addition to her husband Don.
