Geraldean Lilly

Geraldean Lilly, 79, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Moro, Arkansas, to Ross and Ruth Weatherford on October 26, 1935. Geraldean has lived in Jonesboro since 1984 and was a member of the Valley View Missionary Baptist Church. She was a feisty, opinionated woman who loved her family and loved to talk. Gearaldean was the backbone of the family and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Ruth Weatherford; brothers, Ross “Junior” Weatherford, Garland Weatherford, Marlon Weatherford, Harold Weatherford, and Charles Weatherford.

Geraldean is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert “Junior” Lilly; daughters, Sharon Davis of Hernando, Mississippi, Vicki Kennedy, Teresa Williams, Patty Billingsley (Ron), and Tracy Blevins all of Jonesboro. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, one step grandchild, eight great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and her beloved twelve year old Pomeranian, Sandy.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Randy Stimach officiating. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Matt Blevins, Cody Skaggs, Josh Blevins, Ray Spinks, Jeremy Kennedy, and Ron Billingsley. The honorary pallbearer will be Robin Dilley.

The visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Valley View Missionary Baptist Church, 5924 Southwest Drive, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72404 or the American Cancer Society.
