Gerald Max Rodgers

Gerald Max Rodgers, 58, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning at Skill Care Nursing Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Jonesboro, Gerald lived in Arizona and California before moving back to Jonesboro a few years ago. He attended Nettleton School before moving to Arizona and California.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents: Wanda and Ted Heaps; by his grandparents: Howard and Kate Young; and by an uncle: Bill Young.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: Billy Don and Minnie Young;

1 nephew and his wife: Billy Don, Jr. and Crystal Young; 1 niece: Brandy Denise Young; 2 great nieces: Lindsey Jade Branch and Brynn Alexis Young; and 1 great nephew: Bryer Allen Young, all of Jonesboro; and

Several cousins.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Keller’s Chapel Cemetery with Mike Blackwood officiating and Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers include: Wayne Dorton, Johnny Hargrove, Larry Burcham, Billy Young, Jr., Johnny Moore, and James Holloway.

Honorary pallbearers include: Wayne Barnett, Harold Long, Clem Morgan, and Neal Moore.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4-6 at Emerson Funeral Home.
