Gerald David Henry, 80, of Jonesboro, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born in Craighead County, Gerald lived his life in the Jonesboro area. He was a self-employed over-the-road driver and while serving in the U.S. Army, he had the privilege of driving for the Blue Angels flight squadron.
Gerald was a member of the Church of Christ and the Bono Tractor Club where he enjoyed displaying his Farmall Cub. Gerald also enjoyed watching westerns and visiting with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Henry; parents: Pat Henry and Dulcie Rogers; and two sisters: Lurline Crutchfield and Carolyn Adams.
Survivors include 1 son, David Henry (Diana) of Jonesboro;
2 daughters: Susan Henry of Jonesboro, and Cindy Henry (Sara) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri;
1 brother, Gary Henry (Vickie) of Jonesboro;
1 sister, Linda Gallion of Jonesboro;
2 grandchildren: Evan Henry (Jodi) of Jonesboro, and Asher Henry of Cape Girardeau.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 20, 2020 at Herman Cemetery with Bill Willard officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers include Dennis Nix, David Kennon, Chad Fite, Mike Swindle, Matt Nix, Hunter Parnell, and Kelly Henry
There will be no visitation.
