Gerald O. Foreman, 94, of Bono, a devoted family man, hardworking and Godly soul, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, dedication and love.
Born in Nettleton on February 5, 1931, Gerald was the son of Lawrence and Mildred Foreman. He grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and a deep appreciation for family – traits that defined his entire life.
He was one of five siblings: Margie Armstrong, Roylee Foreman, Dennis Foreman and Cordell Foreman.
Gerald was a lifelong worker, known for his reliability, resilience, and quiet determination. But above all, he was a family man. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Dolly Foreman, and together they raised two children: Anthony Foreman (Jami) and Christy Eldridge (Greg).
He was proud of his grandchildren, - Ryen Foreman, (Shelby), Harrison Foreman (Lexie), Matti Eldridge, Macie Eldridge, Faith Greene (Johnny) Chris Foreman and Jessica Gilbert – and delighted in his five great grandchildren, each of whom brought joy to his later years.
Gerald will be remembered for the life he built through hard work, quiet strength and unwavering love for his family. Those who knew him will carry his memory forward with gratitude and deep affection.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Ryen Foreman, Harrison Foreman, Chris Foreman, Zachary Tate, David Sawyer and Johnny Greene serving a pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Glenn Mayher. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 Wednesday night at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
