Georgia Mae Carter, 81, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Monday, April 30, 2018, at St. Elizabeth's Place in Jonesboro.
Georgia was born in Jonesboro and lived all of her life in this area. She worked several years at Frolic Footwear Factory and General Electric in Jonesboro before her retirement. She was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. The real joy of Georgia's life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents: George and Etha Mae Canter Lunsford; husband, L.C. Carter; daughter Brenda Carter Bozarth; 2 brothers: Terry Lunsford and Randell Lunsford; and a sister, Jeanie Richardson.
Survivors include 1 daughter and son-in-law: Teresa D. and Ricky Hutchison of Bay;
1 son and daughter-in-law: David and Cindi Carter of Bay;
Son-in-law, Harold Bozarth of Jonesboro;
4 sisters: Betty Minton of Little Rock, and Alice Guy, Hazel Scarborough, and Jessica Pinchback, all of Jonesboro;
2 brothers: Ralph Lunsford of Little Rock and Richard Lunsford of Highland;
6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be at 3:30 Wednesday in Nettleton Cemetery with Joseph May officiating.
