Georgia “Sweet Georgia” Bryant, 66, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, November 20, 2014. She was born in Bono on April 9, 1948 to the late George and Louis Bryant. Sweet Georgia was known as a loving and caring woman that would do anything for anyone in need. She was a sassy woman who enjoyed bingo, word searches, and going to yard sales. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents and one sister; Johnnie Ann Swieze.
Sweet Georgia is survived by her three sons; Anthony Cowden of Grandbury, Texas, Dan Cowden (Christine) of Virginia Gardens, Florida, and Randy Bryant (Adela) of Miami, Florida. Sisters; Sue Bryant of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Ginger Hooper of Jonesboro, and Sharon Logan of Jonesboro. Grandchildren; Saraya, Daniel III, Anthony Phillip, Alexander, Zachary, Laura, Logan, Makayla Jo, Devin, and Autumn. Georgia also leaves behind two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Berry Bryant officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
