George Coggins

George “G.J.” Coggins, 75 of Jonesboro died Monday, March 12, 2007, at his home. He had lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area and served his country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Coggins, his father, three children and two sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Randy Coggins, Jonesboro; Rodney Coggins and his wife Sharon, Jonesboro; and Robert Coggins, Jonesboro; one daughter Tammy Grigsby, Jonesboro; one brother Fred Coggins, Brookland; three sisters Thelma Pillows, Jonesboro, Vicki Baker, Jonesboro; and Lee Middleton, Flint Michigan, ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10: A.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. James Wainscott officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are grandsons and they are, Brandon Peaster, Michael Peaster, Chris Coggins, Nick Coggins, Daniel Coggins, Randal Coggins and Hunter Coggins.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 Tuesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
