George F. “Bud” Baldwin Jr., 85 of Jonesboro died Monday, January 30, 2006 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born in Springfield Missouri and had lived in Jonesboro for the past 50 years. He was the owner of Baldwin Oil Company and served in WWII in the Army Air Force.
He was a member of St Marks Episcopal Church, a member of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, he served on the board at First National Bank, and as President of Oil Marketers Association.
Survivors include, his wife, Marie Feehan Baldwin of the home; two sons, Max Herndon and Larry Baldwin both of Jonesboro; one sister, Helen May Langston of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren, James Herndon, Marty Herndon, Chad Herndon, Lance Baldwin, Kyle Baldwin, and Christopher Baldwin; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. His parents, George F. Baldwin, Sr. and Ruth Thomas Baldwin, and one son, George F. Baldwin, III preceded him in death.
Funeral Services will be announced at a later date by Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
