George Bidwell Jr

George Lee Bidwell Jr., 70, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, July 6, 2017. He was born to the late George Bidwell and Louise Lipford on August 12, 1946 in Reverie, Tennessee. George served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. He was a Drafting Engineer for Hytrol and retired after working for them for 35 years. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, playing Pool at the Senior Life Center, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents,
George is preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Anthony.

George is survived by his long time companion, Faye Crawford; daughters, Kim O. Bidwell and Carrie Lynn Bidwell; sons, David Taylor and James Taylor; step daughters, Holli Crowe (Stacy) and Cristi Crawford; brother, James “Cookie” Cook (Vickie); sisters, Mary Bates (P.C.), Helen Roberson, Thelma “Sam” Cook, Nancy Herroz, and Debbie Welch; grandchildren, Samantha Taylor, Scott Ha, Zachary Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Ethan Hays, Alyssa Grace Rodriguez, and Gabriel Lee Rodriguez; and step grandchildren, Bailee Crowe and Macie Crowe. George also has one great grandchild on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with Bro. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will be private.

The visitation will be prior to the service starting at 1:00 pm.
