Geneva Hoodenpyle

Geneva (Tisdale) Hoodenpyle, 76, of Jonesboro died Friday at her residence. She had lived here for the past twenty years, moving here from Missouri. She was a member of Valley View Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Jan Storz of Marathon, Florida; two grandchildren, Angela Brewer and Cassey Howard, both of Baldwin, Missouri; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hoodenpyle; her parents, Jess and Lucy Washington Tisdale; four brothers, Jess, Gene, James and Harry Tisdale; and three sisters, Irene Meyerholz, Bessie Gipson, and her twin sister Christeva West.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4-6 at Emerson Funeral Home. Services will be Monday at Emerson Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. with Gary Gipson officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Gipson, Jimmy Gipson, Gary Gipson, Jerry Gipson, Mark Gipson, Charles Agee, Jim White and Mark Dunham.

The family asks that those wishing to leave lasting memorials are asked to consider Valley View Missionary Baptist Church.
