General Nicely Persfull, Jr.

General Nicely Persfull, Jr, of Jonesboro, passed from this life May 7th at the age of 76.

Survivors of the home are his wife, Kathryn Persfull, and grandson, Cody Rushton.

He is also survived by six children: Mary Stanley, Kate Taylor, Everett Persfull, Angela Sparks, Teresa Gomez, and Felicia Persfull; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Siblings include Martha Painter, Wayne Rackley and Robert Rackley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a granddaughter.

He lived in Jonesboro most of his life, was a brick mason for many years, an avid coon hunter and enjoyed raising poultry.

He served briefly in the US Army as a Private First Class.

A private family memorial is planned.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Lung Association, Nettleton Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
