Gene Sanford Williams passed from this life due to complications of Small Cell Lung Cancer and Covid-19 on Monday, October 5, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center with his family by his side.
Gene drove a truck for Jones Truck Line for 22 years. Then he drove for CSW which is now called XPO until he retired in 2004. He was a long time member of Central Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy, of the home; three children, Shane Williams of Maumelle, Blake and Angela Williams of Jonesboro, and Natalie and Eric Shelley of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Taylor Williams of Fayetteville, Tori Williams of Valley View, Savannah and Hudson Shelley of Little Rock, Lily and London Williams of Jonesboro; siblings, Dean and Wilma Williams of Jonesboro, Sue and Charles McLaughlin of Glencoe, Arkansas, and sister in law, Mrs. Clifford Williams of Fort Smith.
The family will have a private graveside service.
