Gene Ladd

Gene Ladd, 83, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, March 30 at the Flo and Phil Jones
Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born August 20, 1933, in Cooter, Mo, son of the late George and Ethel Ladd, he was a
retired construction manager for Entergy Corporation. He was a member of the
Stone Ridge Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Bounds, and two sisters, Shirley
German and JoAnna Burton.
His wife of 64 years, Iris Ladd, survives him. Survivors also include two sons,
Freddie Ladd (Deena) of Conway, and Phillip Ladd (Cara) of Jonesboro; a son-in-law
Allan Bounds (Lisa) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Derek Ladd (Kara) of Round Rock,
Texas, Taylor Ladd (Melanie) of Duluth, Minnesota, Daniel Ladd (Brittany) of
Conway, and Cody Bounds (Laura) of Jonesboro; Kassie Phillips (Blake) and Kortney
(Wes) Smith, both of Paragould and Josh Herget of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren,
Caleb Ladd, Savannah Ladd and Andrew Ladd, all of Round Rock, Texas, and
Grayson Ladd of Conway; Khloe Phillips and Kinsley Smith, both of Paragould.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am, Wednesday, April 5th at the Emerson
Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Dick Blackford officiating. Burial will be held at 2 pm in
Dunklin Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Mo., with Taylor Ladd officiating. The
family will receive friends Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Emerson
Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
