Gene William Denton

Gene William Denton, 74, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Gene was born February 29, 1944, in Batesville. He taught high school science for 41 years and inspired a love of science for many students.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Maude Denton of Jonesboro. He is survived by his wife, Vikki, of Jonesboro and his daughter, Rachel, of Paragould.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society in his name and honor because he was such a lover of animals, especially cats.

All services will be private. There will be no visitation.
