Gayle Shinault

Gayle Shinault, 72, of Walls, Mississippi formerly of Jonesboro passed from this life Friday, November 20, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was born to the late Arlie and Eunice Peace on December 8, 1947 in Dyess, Arkansas. Gayle has resided in Walls, Mississippi for the last 3 years after spending the majority of her life in Jonesboro, since 1953. She was a former member of Nettleton Baptist Church and currently a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Walls.

Gayle enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. She was a member of the Optimist Club, a former Cub Scout Leader, and she was the Choir Booster President of Nettleton High school. Gayle was an avid dog lover, especially her Fluffy. Most of all Gayle loved her family and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Gayle is preceded in death by her sister, Sue White, brother, Bill Peace, and other family members, Henry and Louise Simmons.

Gayle is survived by one son, Sam (Laurie) Shinault of Columbus, GA; one daughter, Lisa (Robert “Bob”) Inabinet of Walls, MS; four grandchildren, Brock (Katilyn) Shinault, Blair Shinault, Robert Inabinet III, and Garrett Inabinet.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 am Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home with a member of the pastoral staff from Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Brock Shinault, Robert Inabinet, Garrett Inabinet, Sam Sanders, Dickey Shinault, and Bob Inabinet.
