Gary W. Tidwell, 53, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012. He had lived in Jonesboro all of his life and was a member of the Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. Gary was a life-time member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #129 and also a Past Master. Gary was active as a Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. He retired from Hytrol Conveyor Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry “Chico” Tidwell; great uncle, Joe Tidwell; uncle, Bob Riles and great aunt, Bernice Tidwell.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Norma Tidwell, of the home; daughters, Elizabeth Tidwell of Jonesboro; Autumn Taylor and husband, Thomas of Oregon City, Oklahoma; mother, Ava Tidwell of Jonesboro; brother, Steve Tidwell of Jonesboro; sister, Patty Burcham and husband Larry of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Katilyn Mercado and Natalie McCoy: grand-dogs, Bella, Bella Mae, Maggie Marie, Daisy, and Bailey.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, September 7, 2012 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Mike Book officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Mike Owens, Richard Gambill, Mike Nowles, Gary Parnell, Gary Clay, Ed Cleaves, Charles Finlay and Walt Bergner serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #129.
