Gary Lee Blackshear

Gary Lee Blackshear, 53, of Bay passed from this life Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his home. He was born November 20, 1967 in Bartow, Florida.

Gary has lived in Bay for over 11 years and has lived in the Jonesboro area most of his life. He enjoyed tinkering with things, especially lawn mowers but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Marie Sanders and sisters, Pat Ricky, Ruth Ann Holtsclaw and Hattie Fitzgerald.

Gary is survived by his wife of 21 years, Glenda Blackshear of the home; daughter, Amber Dickson; son, Jared (Angie) Cook; brothers, Jerry Blackshear and Terry Blackshear; sisters, Glenda Stienblock, Penny Schrell and Arlene Thorp; grandchildren, Karinna Dickson, David Schiedigger, Destiny Lewis, Jayda Dickson, Asher Cook and great-grandchildren Makyh Caruthers and Kingston Smith.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 from 1-2 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2 pm. Burial will be private.
