Gail Pruitt

Gail Pruitt, 72, of Paragould passed from this life Friday, September 12, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 18, 1942 in Hayti, MO to the late Walter and Lois Marley. Gail spent 38 years residing in Paragould before coming from Rockford, Illinois. She was also of the Baptist belief. Gail enjoyed life, watching her hummingbirds and especially her cat. She loved her children and grandchildren as well as spending time with them. Gail was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lois Marley, sister Polly Hall, brother Herman Marley and great granddaughter Marley Reeves.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gene Pruitt of the home; one son: Alan (Marcia) Pruitt of Ormond Beach, Florida; two daughters: Bonnie (Tony) Whitlock and Tammy (Chris) Hess both of Paragould; two brothers: Steve (Sherry) Marley of Paragould and Kenny (Kay) Marley of Tennessee; one sister: Maxine Carter of Byron, Illinois; three grandchildren: Brandi (Travis) Kahanek, Michael (Heather) Pruitt, and Hunter Siddons: six great-grandchildren: Logan Pruitt, Riley Pruitt, Jaxon Pruitt, Ryder Pruitt, Tristen Kahanek, and Terry Kahanek; and one great great grandchild: Tucker Kahanek.

Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Finch Baptist Church in Paragould with Brother Terry Gage officiating. Burial will follow at Finch Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Tony Whitlock, Steven Marley, Michael Pruitt, Travis Kahanek, Hunter Siddons, and Chris Hess.
Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 at Emerson Funeral Home.
