Fredia A. Thomas (Johnson)

Fredia A. Thomas (Johnson) 64, of Williford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. She was born in Jonesboro to P.F. Sr. and Lorene Johnson on October 1, 1951. Fredia grew up in Jonesboro and was a graduate of Jonesboro High School. She had lived the last 20 years in the Williford area. She was a charter member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Williford, where she served as church secretary/treasurer and Sunday school teacher for Pre-k to 3rd grade. She was a truck dispatcher for over twenty years when she retired. Her husband, her children and her grandchildren were the lights of her life. She loved her church family and serving the church and her Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ethel Holt and a brother, Jerry Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 45 years, Marvin Thomas, of the home; daughter, Angie Metcalf (Bobby); son, Jacin Thomas (Susie) both of Bono; brothers, P.F. Johnson Jr. of Jonesboro; David Johnson (Venita) of Hawaii; sisters, Janie Lewellyn of Russellville, Arkansas and Mary Newland (Doyle) of Phoenix; grandchildren, Amber Cothern, Anthony Cothern, Haley Luff and Madicin Thomas; along with in-laws, family, and church family including a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; adopted sister and brother, Evelyn Bradley (Sam) of Hardy and Jim Everidge (Kathy) of Parker Texas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Friday, July 8, 2016 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Jackie Pickett officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Anthony Cothern, Bobby Metcalf, Keith Thomas, Freddie Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, and Daniel Thomas serving as pallbearers.
