Freddie “Fred” Cloyce O’Neal Boling, 90, of Jonesboro, passed away on October 25, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Fred was born on August 7, 1935, in Dixie, Arkansas to Elmer and Lila Boling.

Fred dedicated his career to the banking industry and took great pride in his work. He was a devoted member of Cathedral Baptist Church for more than 50 years, faithfully serving in many areas of the church community. Fred loved playing the piano and singing gospel hymns, often filling his home and gatherings with joyful music. He especially enjoyed attending the Round Up with his buddies, attending the Dixie High School Alumni Banquets, and spending time with his beloved family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara Ann Boling; his sisters, Moniece Michalek, Earnestine Labarreare, and Lois Brickell; and his brothers, Glyn, Billy, Clinton, and Ralph Boling.

Fred is survived by his son, Chris Boling; daughter, Michelle Boling; sister, Flossie Baggett; brothers, Larry (Carolyn) Boling and Kenny (Patricia) Boling; three grandchildren, Danny “D.D.” Boling, Addison Boling, and Sawyer Taylor; and one great-grandchild, Isla Clementine Boling.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Emerson Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Ken Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Addison Boling, Sawyer Taylor, David Boling, Keith Baggett, Danny Boling and Kelly Baggett.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Research.
