Freda Mae Jenkins

Freda Mae Jenkins, 74, of Jonesboro died Monday at her home. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one son, Tony Kurc and wife Christina of Jonesboro; three daughters, Debbie Gibson and husband, Terry, of Jonesboro, Terry Hollowell of Jonesboro, and Patricia Rone and husband, Allen, of Memphis; two sisters, Letha Caldwell of San Antonio, Texas, and Virginia Ann Jaco, of Ashdown, Texas; six grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Kurc; a grandson, Terry Gibson; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Gary Gipson and Brother Jimmy Thompson. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be James Covington, Sean Davis, Chris Rawlings, Johnny Gibson, John Yarbro, and Johnny Gamble. Honorary pallbearers will be John Robinson, Allen Rone, Terry Gibson, Tony Kurc, Charles Covington, Barbara Baker, and Lori Yarbro.

Those wishing to leave lasting memorials are asked to consider Gibson Cemetery or Big Creek Baptist Church.
