Fred Peel Jr.

Fred Peel Jr., 62, Jonesboro passed away on Wednesday at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Fred was born in Newport to the late Fred Peel Sr. and Mabel Peel. At a young age he moved to Batesville, and he also accepted Christ into his life at a young age. He later moved to California for several years before moving to Jonesboro in 1992 to be near his family.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Paul Peel two aunts, Novella Neeley and Estella Watkins; one uncle, Louis Bone.

He is survived by one daughter, Sherry Peel of California; two sisters, Debra McCurn (Jimmy) and Samella Hill both of Jonesboro; three brothers, Billy Joe Peel (Jessica) of Jacksonville, Charles Peel (Terrie) and Robert Peel both of Little Rock; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. We will miss you!

Home going celebration will be Wednesday at 1pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alphonzo Vincent officiating. Interment will directly follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to service. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Don Crawford, Daniel Smith, Kevin Baggett, Clinton Wesley, and Arthur Smallwood, and Keith Box. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Peel, Robert Peel, Billy Joe Peel, Keith Peel, Timothy Peel, and Joseph Peel.
