Fred Cunningham

Fred Cunningham, 84, of Jonesboro was called home to heaven on Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born to the late Cleo and Clara Cunningham in Harrisburg, Arkansas on July 23, 1935. Fred worked for Hytrol for 44 years and finished his career as the Manager of Engineering. He enjoyed working, traveling, hunting, and fishing. Fred especially cherished spending time with his family. He was a scholar of the Lord’s word and loved the time he spent in his faith. In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Cunningham; his brother, Dwight Cunningham; son-in-law, Ralph Poynor; and a granddaughter, Sarah Cunningham. Fred is survived by his sons, Paul Cunningham (Debbie) of Cocoa, Florida, Jon Cunningham of Jonesboro, and Josh Cunningham (Darra) of Brookland; daughters, Cris Poynor of Harrisburg, Amy Samu (James) of Harrisburg, and Sara Michon (Dan) of Monument, Colorado; his sister-in-law, Pat Cunningham and niece, Sherry Cunningham. Fred also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Harrisburg Memorial Cemetery in Harrisburg.
