Frankie Nell Grisham

Frankie Nell Grisham, 80, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born December 3, 1942 near Leachville to Frank and Cullie Louise Orsburn.

Frankie has lived in Jonesboro since 1986 and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. She enjoyed travelling (especially to Disney World), taking care of her family, and volunteering at the Church Health Center, which she did for 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Her father, Frank Orsburn was one of the survivors of the sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis, an American naval ship, which sank during World War II, of which Frankie was very proud of.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jim Grisham; daughter, Barbara (Greyson) Sanders and granddaughter, Samantha (Cory) Hess.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 20, 2023 from 9-11 am at Emerson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11 am with Rev. Fred Haustein and Bro. John Miles officiating. Burial will be private.
