Frankie J. Darr

Frankie J. Darr, 90, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday November 4, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Frankie was born on September 19, 1922 in Brookland to the late James and Lula Adams McCracken. She lived all her life in the Jonesboro area, and she retired from General Electric Company. She was a very independent lady that loved working in her yard, and was a member of the Pine Log Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and her loving spirit will be missed but not forgotten. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Darr; five sisters, Artie Boling, Ester Sears, Bessie Wilson, Clella Moody, and Vauda Nall.

She is survived by her loving daughter Sue Nance; one granddaughter Jennifer Kelly and her husband Heath; two great grandchildren, Cole William Kelly and Darcy Joanne Kelly all of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 pm in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Patty Soward officiating. Burial will directly follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Greg Nall, Mike Moody, Kevin Darr, Kevin Liles, Rick Strickland, and Gene McDaniel.
