Frank Marlon Laws passed away on February 8 th , 2020 at 8:22 pm. He was born at home in Forrest City, AR to Frankie Mae Adamson Laws and Clyde Oliver Laws on January 30 th , 1938. Throughout his life he enjoyed telling comical stories that encouraged and lifted the spirits of friends and family alike. His first job, he worked as a soda jerk, where he made lifelong friends. He was drafted into the Army in 1961 where he served as a MP. Most of his time was spent riding as a guard on the trains through the landscape of South Korea. When he returned to the United States in 1963, he met Helen Marie Brunson. After a short courtship, they were married July 2, 1963. He had jobs through the years, working at Toms Peanuts, Pest Control, and served until his retirement with Forrest City Water Plant. All of these jobs gave him opportunity to make people smile with his engaging personality. He was also a member and a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife Helen Laws of the home; son, Marlon (Leslye) Laws of Forrest City; daughter, LaNan (Gilbert) Chesser of Jonesboro; sister, Linda Powell of Millington, TN and two grandchildren, Caine Laws and Eryn Laws both of Forrest City.
The family asks that you wear bright colors at the service to celebrate Frank’s life.
